Terms of Service

Last updated: August 7, 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By using www.summitpsychotherapycenter.com you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website. These terms also cover the campaign landing pages we operate at getcare.summitpsychotherapycenter.com.

This website is informational

This website describes the services offered by Summit Psychotherapy Center Inc. Nothing on it is medical or mental health advice, none of it substitutes for a professional evaluation, and reading it does not create a provider-patient relationship. What we publish about conditions, symptoms and treatment approaches is general and educational.

Not for emergencies

This website and its contact forms are not for emergencies. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. We do not monitor this website around the clock and cannot respond to urgent or after-hours requests here.

Do not send health information through this website

Our contact form reaches us by email, which is not a secure or HIPAA-protected channel. Please do not send clinical details, diagnoses, medication lists or records through it. Anything you choose to send that way, you send at your own risk.

Inquiries and appointments

Submitting a form tells us you are interested in learning more. It does not schedule an appointment and it does not guarantee that we can see you. Our team will follow up to talk through fit, availability, insurance and next steps. We are not able to accept every inquiry.

Fees and insurance

Fees, insurance participation and payment terms are discussed during intake and confirmed in writing before care begins. Anything on this website about insurance is general reference, not a guarantee of coverage or reimbursement.

No guarantee of outcomes

Therapy outcomes differ from person to person. Nothing on this website is a promise or guarantee of any particular result.

Clinician information

We work to keep provider profiles, credentials, specialties and availability current, but these change. Please confirm anything you are relying on with our office.

SMS communications

Summit Psychotherapy Center offers SMS and text messaging for inquiry follow-up, appointment confirmations and reminders, rescheduling notifications, and account-related information. Consent to receive these messages is optional and is never a condition of receiving care.

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Reply STOP to any message we send you, or text STOP to (650) 381-1640, the number our messages come from. We will send a confirmation message and you will not receive further SMS messages from us. To rejoin, opt in again through any Summit Psychotherapy Center form.

If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at hello@summitpsychotherapycenter.com.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to or from you. Message frequency varies based on the type of communication.

If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our Privacy Policy.

Third-party links and embedded content

This website links to and embeds third-party services, including a Google Maps embed on our Contact page and a widget that displays our public Google reviews. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or terms.

Intellectual property

The content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, photographs and layout, belongs to Summit Psychotherapy Center Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. Please do not reuse or redistribute it without our written permission.

Age requirement

This website and our SMS messaging program are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a form, request a consultation, or consent to receive text messages from us. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through this website. If you are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian contact us on your behalf.

Acceptable use

Please do not use this website to break the law, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or the systems behind it, or to send unsolicited commercial messages through our forms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Summit Psychotherapy Center Inc. is not liable for damages arising out of your use of this website, including reliance on anything published here.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
