About Dr. Stephanie Houk

Dr. Stephanie Houk is a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of California (PSY 34529) and Iowa (121032) providing individual psychotherapy in person and via telehealth. Dr. Houk works with adults across the lifespan (emerging adulthood through older adulthood) with a variety of presenting problems including serious mental illness, psychosis, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, adjustment, relationship difficulties, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Dr. Houk specializes in evidence-based psychotherapies including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Social Skills Training, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Written Exposure Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In addition to her work at Summit Psychotherapy Center, Dr. Houk is a staff psychologist and clinical supervisor at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System.

Dr. Houk enjoys the outdoors, the WNBA (Go Valkyries!), reading, and spending time laughing with her family and friends.
